BlackJack

BlackJack Wines is named after an American sailor who jumped ship during the Gold Rush era of the 1850s in search of his fortune. Ian McKenzie and Ken Pollock, first planted vines on an old apple orchard in 1988, gradually increasing the plot and creating a unique site known as Block 6 for their unique Shiraz. Blackjack Vineyards offers a friendly welcome, a chance to taste some delicious reds and to chat about winemaking in the historic region of Central Victoria.

Killiecrankie

Killiecrankie Wines is the venture of John Monteath and Claire Hull. John, a well-known viticulturist is currently working with some of the pre-eminent vineyards in the Bendigo and Heathcote wine regions. John sources their grapes from a limited number of meticulously tended vineyards in these areas. The quirky and eclectic cellar door, with a cosy open fire, is set in an historic 1880's workers cottage nestled in beautiful gardens. The Cellar Door has a wonderful collection of assorted paraphernalia and you can also view the photographic based art works created by John and Claire. In the warmer months you can sit in the gardens under the beautiful old pear tree and eat your self-catered lunch or a platter from Harcourt Food Store.

Sandhurst Ridge

Sandhurst Ridge was founded by brothers who grew up with wine - making it and enjoying it as a natural part of living in a large immigrant Italian family. The Greblos had owned vineyards outside Trieste in Northern Italy, until forced to abandon them when the borders changed after World War II. The move to the rural town of Bendigo, didn’t stop Papa Theo from making wine, and his sons grew up with a love for the grape and a knowledge of the winemaking craft and in 1989, they planted the Sandhurst Ridge vineyard. Sandhurst has a beautiful cellar door to relax in while you enjoy the wine tasting. You are more than welcome to bring a grazing platter or picnic lunch to enjoy with a bottle of their wine.
